Beloveds -

Warmest regards and love to you, our beloveds in the Lord, in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  it is indeed a great blessing hearing from you, our kind brothers and sisters, out there in the States.  We give God the glory for the wisdom, He has given to people who came up with this technology of e-mailing. We are so far apart – million of miles apart but we are able to communicate like you were around the city of Ndola and vise vesa.

One song writer in his song says ” thankyou for giving to the Lord. I am a life that was saved, thankyou for giving to the Lord, am so glad you gave’. Beloveds, on behalf of Wiphan – Zambia, THANKYOU FOR GIVING TO THE LORD AND FOR HIS WORK AT WIPHAN.  Alot of lives have been saved and are yet to be saved.  a million thanks for helping Zambia educate her future leaders.  You may not realise it, but this is exaclty what you are doing.
A million thanks for the books you sent which talk about the ‘the godly way of handling finances’.They are finally in and I have read through them and they are super, rich with knowledge of how best to handle finances . We will be using them to teach others as well especially after we have read them all.

I have spent the past 3 days on the field, visiting our two centers and I usually come back home at night.  We are very excited as we see the day of our visitors drawing near.

Just a quick report for this week -

MONDAY, 30TH JUNE, 2008
Wiphan kids spent their morning time in class learning from 07-00 to 11-00am.  After 11.00am big boys and girls from grades 4,5,6,7 took time to clean up their football and netball pitches and it was something they did enjoy to do.

TUESDAY, 01 JULY, 2008
Wiphan kids as usual spent their morning time learning and after 11.30 am, both the football team and net ball team spent their mid-morning doing football and netball exercises and practices, in rediness for the match they played against another community school called twatasha Comm.School, yesterday, Thursday and guess who won?  Its Wiphan-School again, where Jesus reigns! ha, ha, ha – glory to His name.

The net ball team is playing next week and I think this time around, we will take photos of our girls playing.

WEDNESDAY, O2, JULY, 2008
Women in the tailoring department were learning how to make table mats, where hot dishes can be put, as food is being saved, to prevent the table from burning and it was so nice.  also women doing cookery were taught how to cook maize-samp with grondnuts- this is a very nutrious meal and it tested very nice. Beloveds, in the cookery class, women are taught how to cook very cheap meals for thier children but yet very nutrious to keep them health.  We have so far taught our women how to make relish out of strawberry-leaves, raw-pawpaw, beans-leaves, cassava-leaves, beans-leaves, pumpkin-leaves, adding to them ground-nuts which add alot of nutritional value to them and this can very nutritious both to the kids and to older people.

THURSDAY, 03, JULY, 2008
Yeaterday, Thursday, was a very big day for Wiphan.  Wiphan football team played against another community school called Twatasha school – the word twatasha means thankyou in English and Wiphan as usual won 6 goals to 1. It was nice watching young boys playing soccer and am confident Wiphan school shall produce a national soccer team of tomorrow.

FRIDAY, 04,JULY,2008
Labstone and I thought it wise to spend this day in the office and just do some reporting of some kind. Once again, we give God the glory for the power and strength given to us and for enabling us do what we have done this week.

Some Wiphan Needs

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Today I thought of writing again to indicate a few needs of Wiphan…

DESPERATE NEEDS OF WIPHAN KIDS;
1. SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS
Alot of orphans and widows are left without homes, money that can help sustain them after their spouses and papas are gone. And because of the same, widows and orphans are subjected to abjact porverty and this has resulted into alot of financial lack, material lack, horrible hunger, lack of means to put orphans in school – this situation is so real, and it is such a sad state of affairs. Most  widows and orphans sleep on empty stomachs litterally and it was because of the same need, that Wiphan-Zambia thought of starting up a community-school where no payment is done. Wiphan-Zambia, with the help of YOU-OUR KIND AND GENEROUS FRIENDS Wiphan-USA, have been very helpful in helping us provide school requirements for the kids and we are very grateful. They have bought Wiphan Kids, books to write in, pencils, pens and chalks for teachers to use also. last month, we were sent beautiful school bags and in them where wonderful books to write in, pens, pencils and you should have seen the joy, the celebration and the jubillation that took place at the time bags were being given out. as Wiphan management, we are very grateful for such a kind gesture shown to us and to the kids.

FEEDING
Because of the prevailing hunger in homes of widows and orphans, Wiphan-Zambia thought of coming up with a feeding programme for the kids who come to learn at Wiphan school. We have fed Wiphan-kids occasionally but have not done it regulary because of lack of funds.  We are praying and we really wish we can be in position to feed the kids on a daily basis. We are praying that one day, God will raise up someone who can take up the feeding programme so that the hunger prevailing amongst the widows and orphans can be defeated.  We greatly thank God for the few times our kids have had a meal.

HOME – ESSENTIALS FOR THE WIDOWS,
Most of the widows we minister unto never had a chance to go to school and that has subjected alot of widows to financial hardships and porverty. There is a very humble plea of mealie-meal and food distribution from the widows that gather at Wiphan to learn and we are praying that God may raise up someone who can take up that need and on behalf of widows, we would greatly appreciate. We greatly thank God for a few times we have been able to give out food to the widows.
