Mon – 08.09.2008 Like the rest of the other schools across the nation of Zambia, Wiphan school also opened for the final and last term of 2008 though our grade seven pupils never went on a break last month. It was all JOY AND EXCITMENT as Wiphan kids returned to school again. Labstone and I, went to open school with both kids and teachers and it was extremely wonderful. We had time to pray and just commit the term in the hands of the almighty God. We asked God to keep everyone at Wiphan in a healthy state. later, all the kids got involved in cleaning the school premises. Sweeping and mopping was done and thereafter, learning commenced. We visited both centers and it was nice sieng the kids back to school.

TUE – 09.O9.2008 Wiphan women usually meet 3 days in a week ; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Labstone and I, visited Sinia center to meet with the women. It was exciting to see the women back to school for their final term. Loan women also came over to finalise their business lessons. We took time to pray with the women and encouraged each other to work hard because it is only through hard work that poverty is defeated. Wiphan’s last year’s graduants got their loans on this same day, Tuesday. Women are very grateful. They did ask me to convey their heart felt appreciate.

WED. 10.09.2008 Mama Nsokoshi and I went round town to find out mealers who are selling thier mealie – meal at a reasonable price. As Wiphan – Zambia, we will be buying mealie-meal for the feeding of the kids from Chimanga changa.

It is always a great pleasure communicating to you saints and a million thanks for your mails. Both government and community schools were supposed to open school and resume learning yesterday but because of the national mourning of the late President, Mwanawasa, the opening date has been pushed to Monday next week. Tomorrow, the body of the President, which has been taken around the country for the past week plus a few days, shall be finally put to rest. The late President was born on the 3rd of Sept, 1948 and the Zambian government decided to burry the President on the day he was born and 3rd Sept, shall be a public holiday for Zambia fron now, on. A million thanks for your prayers, saints and we strongly believe that it is because of your prayers, that Zambia, has managed to mourn her President peacefully.

WEEKLY REPORT
Wiphan Care school, like any other schools in Zambia, has been on a break the whole of August except for our grade seven students, who never went on a break. The grade seven students decided to continue learning so that they are well prepared for the forth coming grade seven exams in October. We had Benard – senior teacher, Silvester and Jelan, teach the kids through out August and we greatly thank God for them.

The grade seven students kept going to school from Monday through to Friday. Our students are determined to learn and our hope and prayer is that God would grant them success. A million thanks to you Wiphan-U.s.a for making this happen, God richly bless you all.

MON, 25TH AUG. 2008
Labstone and I, went round the city to find cheaper sources which would help us buy food for the Wiphan students at a cheaper rate. We greatly thank God for one Indian shop that has pledged to donate tomatoes and vegetables for free and this will help us operate the feeding programme within the funds already apportioned for the feeding programme. Both teachers and Wiphan management are very grateful to you Wiphan-U.s.a for the feeding programme that you are putting in place for us. All of us are vey excited and this is OUR DREAM-COME TRUE.

TUES, 26TH AUG. 2008
Labstone and I went to Mapalo to check on the students, to see how the lessons have been going on. Students told us they have learnt alot and are more than ready to do the exams. Teachers, have sacrificed alot of their time, instead of resting, they thought of sacrificing their time to teach our kids and we are very hopeful that our students will do well at thier exams. Kindly help us pray for our students. We are very confident that they will achieve good results.

WED, 27TH AUG. 2008
Labstone, Mrs Mumba and I had a meeting, where Mrs Mumba gave us some high-lights on the feeding programme. It was a very good meeting and we learnt alot. We love the Mumbas, they have been very helpful and we learn alot each time we sit under them to learn. They are very GOOD MENTORS!

THURS. 28TH AUG.2008
Labstone and I, conducted a seminar for the teachers. Teachers were taught how to use the new carriculum and it was very wonderful. Teachers learnt alot and were very excited. I taught the teachers the importance of praying and reading Bible verses to the kids before getting into real lessons. It was another good and exciting time.

FRI. 29TH AUG.2008
Labstone and Mrs Mumba, went down town to get the quotation of the shoes that a Catholic church bought for their kids at Hope Ministries. Wiphan-Zambia, is very grateful, on behalf of the kids and women who will recieve the shoes. This is very kind of you Wiphan-U.s.a and we look forward to the day the shoes shall be bought and given out to our people.

May the almighty God continue to bless you so richly and abundantly. Women are very excited and are looking forward to venture into their DREAM BUSINESS. It is not too far from now, it is around the corner and just next week on Tuesday.

We will continue to talk, talk, talk because we enjoy talking and communicating to you guys. More news next week. Bye for now and God richly bless you all.
