A Joyful Noise…

Beloveds – Wiphan-Usa,

Glory, honor, adoration, praises and thanks be to the
Lord, our God, who, through His son Jesus Christ, enables us
to do all things!!!. No wonder Paul has said “we can do all
things through Christ who gives us strength. Wiphan Care
Ministries, that was once JUST A DREAM, by the grace of God,
has now become a REALITY – PRAISE BE TO GOD!

As usual and as per Wiphan custom,  Monday, being the assembly day, assembly, at both centers was conducted, where the Word of
God was shared to the kids, (by Aaron, this time around and also prayers were conducted to commit the week in the hands of the
almighty God. Pastor Aaron is proving to be a great blessing to Wiphan kids and we greatly thank God for his skill of playing the guitar.
An additon of singing songs with a guitar, as Aaron plays the guitar and the kids singing along side him, has brought a lot of joy and excitement both to the teachers and the kids. Assembly for kids, has become such an exciting thing ever!!!!!Aaron ministered to the kids at Mapalo and it was extremely exciting.

Wiphan-Zambia is already considering music and learning how to play a guitar, as one of the skills that can be taught to the kids.  A million, million thanks to Adam and his wife for donating such a wonderful gift – GUITAR. God richly bless you, wonderful saints.

When assembly time was over, kids could not let Aaron go – ha, ha, ha, ha!

Sr. Mary was called upon to attend to the students who had very serious Malaria cases and praise be to God that today all are well and strong.

Wiphan-Zambia ended her ministerial activities on a very
inspiring conference call with Wiphan-Usa.  It
was good to hear the voices of the wonderful saints in Christ.

WIPHAN-ZAMBIA HAS BECOME A ‘CAPE’ OF GOOD HOPE’, A PLACE OF ACQUIRING KNOWLEDGE FOR THE ILLITERATE, A PLACE OF ACCEPTANCE FOR THE REJECTED, A PLACE OF JOY AND EXCITEMENT FOR THEM THAT GRIEVE and hope for the
hopeless widows and orphans and the vulnerables generally speaking.  Orphans who completely lost hope of having an opportunity to go to school, now have hope to at least even get basic education and skill that will sustain them, to the glory and honor of the almighty God.

The song that is being sang at Wiphan is ‘BECAUSE OUR REDEMMER
LIVETH, WIPHAN-ZAMBIA SHALL FACE TOMORROW’.  A people,
whose life was covered with gross darkness, now have the
light of God shine on them. A people, who once had no hope,
now have hope of facing their future with lots of confidence
in and through Christ – glory be to God.

More news next week and bye for now.

TONNES AND TONNES OF LOVE,

SWEET-BELOVEDS ,

What a FAITHFUL GOD WE SERVE! GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE AND GREATLY, HE IS TO BE PRAISED!

JULY, THE 4TH THROUGH TO JULY, THE 10TH HAS BEEN A GREAT AND WONDERFUL WEEK INDEED!!!!

SATURDAY, 4TH JULY, 2009.
JULY, THE 4TH, WAS A GREAT DAY FOR WIPHAN ZAMBIA, WHEN THE LONG-AWAITED VISITING  U.S FRIENDS LANDED AT THE NDOLA AIRPORT, AT 3.00PM. WIPHAN BOARD AND THE SECRETARIATE WERE AT THE AIRPORT, I HOUR BEFORE THE PLANE LANDED, WAITING TO GIVE A BIG WELCOME TO THE VISITING TEAM!

WHEN THE VISITING TEAM ARRIVED, IT WAS ALL SMILES, JOY, AND GREAT CELEBRATIONS TO SEE AND MEET WITH NEW BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST! WIPHAN-ZAMBIA LED THE VISITING TEAM FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CASTLE LODGE TO CHECK IN AND AFTER EVERYONE CHECKED IN AT THE LODGE, WIPHAN-ZAMBIA AGAIN LED THE VISITING TEAM TO SINIA – WIPHAN CENTER, WHERE WIPHAN LADIES AND KIDS WERE, AS THEY WAITED TO GIVE A THUNDEROUS WELCOME TO THE VISITING FRIENDS.

LATER, WIPHAN LADIES JUST GOT ‘LOST’ IN SINGING, BEATING OF DRUMS AND MADE THE VISITING TEAM, DANCE TO THE AFRICAN RHYTHMS – IT WAS WONDERFUL!

Sunday, the 5th of July, was another special day that Wiphan-Zambia and the visiting team had. The service opened up with American worship songs from Adam – it was extremely awesome!

After Adam sang, we had 3 diffrerent Zambian choir groups sing Zambian songs – God was highly worshiped and His name was greatly glorified.
I kept translating Bemba songs into English to help the visiting team understand the meaning of the songs.

When the service ended, the visiting friends broke up into 4 groups and went into the compound of Mapalo to visit sponsored children.

From the first time, Wiphan-Zambia ladies heard about the conference Mama Doris was coming to conduct, there had been great anticipation among wiphan-ladies, and they could not wait to hear Mama Doris preach.

Early morning of Monday, Wiphan-ladies gathered at Sinia center, in readiness to walk down to the Castle lodge. Before the ladies got themselves to the lodge, I took Chuck, Ingrid, Amy and Addie to Sinia center, left them there and they joined the rest of Wiphan-ladies and walked down with them to the lodge – it was an exciting moment. Chuck, Ingrid, Amy and Addie, enjoyed walking with the ladies from Sinia to the Castle lodge.  By almost 09.00hrs, the ladies were already by the Castle lodge entrance and after the calling of the roster and giving of the name-tags were done, all the the ladies were sitted in the conference hall by 10.hrs.

Later,  Adam was invited to the stage to lead in worship with his beaultiful American worship songs and God was worshiped among His women. later, Wiphan choir also sang 2 songs and after worship, Mama Doris took the pulpit and preached VERY INSPIRING WORD OF GOD. Mama Doris taught Wiphan-ladies some of the names of God;
1. JEHOVAH ROI     -  God, the Chief Shephered of our lives
2. JEHOVAH NISSI   -  God, our Banner and our victory
3. JEHOVAH TSHIKEN -  God, our Righteousness
4. JEHOVAH JIREH   -  God, our Provider

Mama Doris later taught Wiphan-ladies HOW DEEP AND GREAT, GOD’S LOVE IS, FOR EACH ONE OF US. At the end of Mama Doris preaching, all Wiphan-ladies were given printed scriptures, which have been of great help and extremely inspiring. Wiphan-ladies will never forget the conference – the ladies were encouraged, inspired and they will never forget THE CONFERENCE.
IT WAS THE FIRST OF ITS KIND AND WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED.

On Tuesday, the visiting team presented letters to Wiphan kids from their U.S penpals and it was extremely exciting!  Wiphan-kids were overwhelmed by the love shown to them by the American penpals and they felt God loves them so very much. Wiphan kids read lovely letters from their penpals and they also replied back and it was lovely.

On wednesday, around 09.00hrs, Wiphan-Zambia led the visiting team to Mapalo center where children were observed learning in their respective grades and classrooms. Thereafter, all the kids assembled for a presentation of songs and poems to the U.S. guests.

later, the kids were made to split into four groups. There were four different stations set up with diffrerent events for kids to participate in.  The four different stations were Science Demonstration A,B, Bible Songs/Bible story and parachute games.  OOooooh, Wiphan-kids saw what they have never seen before and they were extremely amused and excited as they heard Adam and Leslie sing songs and share Bible stories with them, and as Professor Barry mixed the sweets plus coke and there was great splashing of the coke which ended up ‘baptising’ all the on-lookers – very exciting moment, and as Nancy did the balloons, let them in the air and kids saw them meander in the air and as they held the parachute and felt like they were flying – oooohhh!it was a day of exciting events for Mapalo kids and they will never forget. visiting friends MADE A DAY FOR WIPHAN-KIDS AT MAPALO.

Later, the sewing classes were  so blessed to have Amy, teach them how to make a bag and the sewing class was extremely grateful for the knew knowlegde acquired. The knitting class displayed the table clothes they have been making. The cookery class made african peanut butter and African polony, which our visiting guests enjoyed eating. It was a great day for the ladies.

Thursday, was a big day for Sinia.  What was done at Mapalo on Wednesday is exactly what was repeated at Sinia. Kids at Sinia, also enjoyed the splashing coke, blown and meandering balloons, singing and the Bible sharing and the parachute games. it was exciting, immaculate and amusing. On behalf of Wiphan-Zambia, a million thanks for all that was shown to the kids, they will live to remember.

At 15.00hrs, Wiphan Boy-Soccer team played a match against their neighbouring school and won the match 2 – 1.  Wiphan scored 2 and their opponents had a goal in the very last minute. Wiphan Boy-Soccer team is a very strong and we are very confident that it will continue performing well.

OOOOH, IT’S BEEN A GREAT WEEK, MARVELOUS WEEK, FANTASTIC WEEK, A WEEK OF GREAT FUN, WEEK OF SWEET MEMORIES, WEEK OF NEW FRIENDSHIPS, WEEK OF GREAT INTERACTIONS – PRAISE THE LORD, PRAISE THE LORD, GREAT PRAISE BE TO THE LORD.

On behalf of the widows and the orphans at Wiphan,
Wiphan-Zambia management wishes to express deep heart
gratitude for the constant love and financial support
that is  rendered to us, which have made the running of the
programmes at Wiphan very smoothly. God richly, richly bless you,
Wiphan-Usa for your kind generosity

ROSE TELLS HER STORY…
Rose was once a vulnerable woman. Married to a husband, with 3 children. Because of the high levels of unemployment in Zambia, hunger and starvation hit her home and as a family, they almost died of hunger. Her husband later ran away from her because he could not cope up with the challenges they were facing as a family. In the midst of all that hopelessness, Rose heard about Wiphan and all the skills training that was being offered to the students. Rose came and enrolled and learned a tailoring skill. She was one of the best students in her intake and today, Rose is now an instructor at Wiphan, teaching tailoring skills. She thanks God for Wiphan and all that Wiphan has done for her.  She gets a pay monthly and she testifies, hunger has ‘run’ away from her home and it is now, the thing of the past.  Praise be to God.

GRACE TELLS HER STORY…
Grace, widowed at a very tender age, lost all that she and her late husband had, after the death of her husband. Property was grabbed from her, she was rejected and was left in the cold, with her two small children. Wondering what the future held in store for her, in the midst of hopelessness and despair, Rose, (tailoring instructor) met Grace on the road, wiping away tears, she testifies!  Rose was touched and had a conversation with Grace.  Rose told her, she could not give her fish to eat but could ‘teach her how to catch fish’! Rose invited Grace to Wiphan’s skills training and had her enrolled into knitting class. Grace did knitting at Wiphan and was one of the best students. Grace graduated and now, she is now working for a knitting company, downtown. Praise and glory be to God, in the highest.  Grace blesses the day she met Rose and she thanks God for Wiphan and all that the Lord has done for her, through Wiphan.

ANN ALSO TELLS HER STORY…
Ann, was once a vulnerable woman. Married, with 5 children but later was deserted by her husband.  Ann’s husband ran away from her for more than two years. Hunger and hopelessness were the order of the day in her home. Diseases, caused by hunger, kept hitting her children and in the midst of such hopelessness and desperation for survival, Ann heard about Wiphan and all that was being offered. Ann ‘ran for her life’ and got enrolled into the tailoring class. Ann worked very hard and got the ‘know how’ of the tailoring skill. Ann, now rejoices as she teaches tailoring skills to Wiphan ladies at the Mapalo Center. She is on Wiphan pay-roll and she testifies that HUNGER AND HOPELESSNESS, is the thing of the past!!! Praise be to God.
