Leasa & Kevin Jones - Board Members

In 1991 Kevin met and became friends with Timothy Chilufya, a pastor from Zambia. Kevin and Leasa became involved with widow and orphan care after that meeting and founded Wiphan Care Ministries in 2008. Since then, they have seen the Lord bring people to Wiphan with whom they have developed long lasting relationships based on a shared passion: to serve widows and orphans in the name of Jesus Christ. Kevin has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and works in sales. Leasa graduated from Georgia State University with a BA in Communications and serves as the Wiphan Jewelry Coordinator. Kevin and Leasa have four children and reside in Roswell, Georgia.

 

April & Harris Carlock - Board Members

Harris and April Carlock joined the Wiphan Team in 2007. Both of the Carlocks have a passion for empowering others to discover who they are in Christ and are specifically broken-hearted for widows and orphans in under-developed countries.  Along with their fellow Wiphan Board members, they believe the church is called to continue Jesus' mission of preaching and demonstrating Christ's hope and power to "the least of these".  Their desire is to be used by God to bring hope and restoration to those hurting in Africa, as well as to minister to those who are spiritually impoverished in their own community.
Harris received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Alabama and is the owner of Red Clay Development Partners. April attended the University of Alabama and earned a B.A. in Psychology. Harris and April and have three daughters and a son. They are members of Perimeter Church and live in Johns Creek, Georgia.
