Encouraging a Orphan

Bishop Michael’s eldest son, Meshack Simati, was a beneficiary of the World Vision Sponsorship Program as a child. As an adult, Meshack and his wife wanted to find a way to give back. They partnered with several people in the US to begin a nonprofit to care for orphans, which eventually merged with Wiphan. Wiphan Kenya’s child sponsorship program is designed facilitate a relationship between an orphan and sponsor to not only provide funds to care for the orphan, but to encourage and pray for the sponsored child.

ABOUT SPONSORSHIP

We believe education and the saving power of Jesus Christ is crucial to breaking the cycle of poverty and creating sustainable change in the life of a child. Child sponsorship is one way we can build a bridge that connects caring individuals and families  to children who need our support, encouragement and prayers. Select Wiphan Kenya from the Community menu to sponsor a child in Kenya.

COMMUNICATION

The children love hearing from their sponsors and seeing photos of the families who make such a huge impact on their lives. We invite you to build a relationship with your sponsored child through your letters and pictures. You will have the opportunity twice a year, typically in January and June, to write to your sponsored child. You can email your letter, mail it or use the online letter writing portal.  As a sponsor, you will also receive our newsletters which will give you periodic updates on the  activities of the children and what is happening at the schools.

Wiphan Care Ministries partners with Child Sponsorship Services , a nonprofit which manages the administration of our sponsorship program.

COST

Your monthly gift of $39 not only provides for your sponsored child, it also helps many of the other orphaned children served by Wiphan.
