Orphan Education

Wiphan Kenya supports in rural areas of Bungoma and Busia counties, which are poverty stricken with a high rate of HIV/AIDS and communicable diseases.  The orphans live with families who attend one of eight rural churches, headed by Pastor Michael. The families receive food, healthcare and all supplies needed for the orphan in their care to attend government school, including the school fees.

Wiphan Kenya plans to increase the number of children served and to eventually build a school. For more information on the future building plan, click below:

Sewing Skills Training

Christine Simati, Bishop Michael’s wife, learned to sew while she was visiting the US with her husband. Her desire was to begin a skills training program in Kenya for widows like the skills programs that were offered in Zambia. She has successfully taught widows to use sewing machines to make simple fabric bags, which are sold as jewelry gift bags in the US.
